Wilson vs Roper on afternoon show at The Takeover

As most will now be aware, the biggest show ever to be held in Lincoln will now be split over 2 shows with a standard ticket event in the afternoon starting at 2pm and a sold out VIP event in the evening, so over the next few days to add to the build up for the event we will be giving more details on the fights on both cards at Deans Sports and Leisure Centre on 24 March 2018.

The second fight that we are covering on the afternoon show is a real mouth watering contest between Combat Academy star Brogan Wilson and Spartan’s Jamie Roper for the ISKA Cadet K1 British title at -67kg.

Barnsley’s Wilson has fought on several shows at the Lincoln Fight Factory and we have had the privilege to follow his career from a young boy as he has grew into one of the hottest prospect in the UK Full Contact Kickboxing scene.

Like many fighters he has made the transition into K1 Rules Kickboxing now and after winning a gold medal at the ICO World Games last year, it is a switch he seems to have made very easy.

Brogan was due to face the IKF World Champion Alex Hook, but after unfortunate circumstances left Hook out, Stuart Roper from Sunderland was straight on the phone offering Jamie’s services.

We haven’t seen Jamie in action before, but like a lot of the Spartan fighters, Jamie appears to be accomplished in MMA, K1 and Muay Thai with a host of medals to his name, including gold and silver medals that he picked up at the Unified World Championships in Italy last year.

At Feud Promotion’s we provide ourselves on giving the best fighters in the UK an opportunity to showcase their talents on the big stage, without hidden agendas or local bias to keep the titles locally with proof here as neither lad is local to Lincoln, but we want to give fighters and fans the best fights we can and this certainly ticks those boxes.

The winner of this fight will then have the opportunity to defend their title on our 13 October show with fighters like Alex Hook and Connor George in the mix to get a crack.

Good luck to both these young stars and a special thanks to their coaches (Mick Crossland – Combat Academy) and Stuart Roper/Paul Grieves – Spartans) for being so easy to work with in what could have been very difficult times.

Tickets for the under card event are still on sale and priced at £30 for adults and £20 for under 16’s so please call the ticket hotline on 07900 93269 to book yours
