Internet abuse doesn’t worry Burton

Lincoln Fight Factory’s Shawn Burton insists abuse from Ivan Alvarez’s fans doesn’t bother him in the slightest ahead of their world title fight in La Rioja, Argentina.

“I have fought all over the world and been subject to lots of internet trolling over the years.  Countless times I have been told I am getting knocked out, won’t be able to eat solid food or walk the next day, I just laugh about it and carry on training,” said Burton.

Shawn is training extremely hard for this fight, with Adam Butler and Lee Swaby really pushing him and Aaron Robinson (also on the Argentina show) to the limits.  These last few weeks has seen them doing hill running, strength work and tactical things such as hand and feet movement and today they spent the afternoon sparring with boxers at Brownys Gym in Grantham.

With 3 weeks till the team fly out to La Rioja for a weeks pre fight warm weather training things seems to be going really well for the fighters, both looking sharp, confident and very strong.  They really are in the best shape of their lives.

Aaron is looking faster then ever ahead of his fight Enzo Zalazar, the fight is scheduled for 12×2 minute rounds at 69kg.  Zalazar has a record of 17 wins and 3 losses.
