Takeover Promotions returns with Ring Wars on 11 December at the Lincoln Fight Factory

It’s a day many feared would never return, certainly not this year anyway but we can finally say we are just over 1 week away from our second fight night this year.

Covid-19 and Government enforced rules and restrictions meant that public events and even sport in general ground to a halt in March 2020, just 1 week before our super show was due to take place, but we are back and we are bigger and better than ever before.

What a card we have made for this event. The promoters of Takeover Promotions have pulled out all of the stops to piece together what they believe is one of the strongest ‘small hall’ event in the UK in recent years. 11 December there really is no other place in Lincoln that you will want to be at, whether you are a fan of K1 rules kickboxing, boxing or just enjoy a good nights entertainment. Save this date in your diary now!

Priding his shows on very even 50/50 bouts, promoter Shawn Burton has once again pulled out all of the stops to ensure that this event tops any of the previous shows he has put on with some top quality boxing bouts on the event and a K1 rules fight card to end the night featuring fighters from across the UK taking in Professional, Semi-Professional and amateur K1 rules bouts as well as a handful and top quality boxing bouts featuring some of the Lincoln Fight Factory’s top talent and we are delighted to be bringing it to Lincoln at the George Street based venue.

As always, we start the event with a number of novice fights and work our way up the some truly World Class professional bouts that could headline any event at any venue in the UK, so to have that on a Takeover Promotions event shows that the team are doing something right to tie them down to our shows.

The Main Event of the evening is a mouthwatering bout between two fighters that have fought on some of the top UK shows, but both jumped at the chance to feature on the show. This is a fight that really could be on any of the biggest stages around the UK, featuring two truly top class operators in a Semi-Professional K1 kickboxing bout for the ISKA English title.  However, promoter Shawn Burton had his heart set on making this happen when both of the fighters managers put their names forward and after a couple of phone calls/messages it was confirmed and what a fight it is – Nathan Dryden from the Contender Gym in Middlesborough takes on Darius Palma from Northern Spirit in Sale.  Nathan wowed fans on our August event, scoring a sensation 2nd round head kick KO and Darius has forged a reputation fighting A Class rules Thai boxing.  This is a great fight for the 59kg title and one we are sure will leave our fans glued to their seats.

Making his Professional K1 rules debut see’s Lincoln Fight Factory’s longest servant Kraig Green make his return to the ring after a 3 year absence.  Over the last 10 years Kraig has competed in boxing, full contact kickboxing, amateur K1 and  Semi-Pro, fighting at the highest level in each of those disciplines.  On 11 December its another international bout for the form ISKA English champion when he meets Greek KO artist Peratikos Dionsis.  This fight was originally scheduled as a Semi-Pro rules bout, both both fighters asked if it could be made under professional rules and the team were more than happy to oblige.

Another England vs Greece match up see’s the inform Aaron Slimane from AVT in Leeds face Panagiotis Typaldos under Semi-Pro K1 rules over 3×2 minute rounds.  Aaron is coming off a great 1st round stoppage on the recent MTGP show in Sheffield earlier this month and got straight on the phone to promoter Burton to asked if he could get him on the card.  Once again the team worked there magic and the same day Aaron was matched.

Sleaford’s Phil Robbins is back in action when he meets David Gillan from Jester’s Gym in another great Semi-Pro rules bout at 70kg.  Both these lads were on the wrong ends of great fights on our August event and were keen to right their wrongs.  This really is a mouthwatering fight between to experienced fighters and we can’t wait to see them in action.

The final Semi-Pro K1 rules bout see’s Family and Friends Piotr Panczak hoping to continue his form that saw him crownd the ISKA English champion on our August event with a punch perfect performance against David Gillan that left promoters ringing to get him on their events, but there was only one show Piotr wanted to fight on and that was Ring Wars.  Facing Piotr this time is a very, very tough test in the form of Josh Crowther from Aire Valley Martial Arts.  Josh is a very accomplished fighter and will offer a much different style for Piotr this time out but is the sort of challenge an English champion show face as they look to move up in levels.

The second title fight of the evening will feature Eagle Kickboxings Marcus Frisby and Northern Spirits South African export Keagan Rowe.  Marcus is coming off a 2nd round stoppage on our last event pushing himself into title contention and Rowe has great pedigree so we are sure this ISKA English title fight will be a contender for fight of the night on the show.

We have a solid undercard of amateur rules K1 kickboxing with some brilliant match ups with Lincoln Fight Factory Fighters Jamie Stinton, Nicholas Lyong and Jimmy Fells taking on fighters from Apollo Martial Arts, Leicester Kickboxing and Contender Gym respectively, as well as Contender Gyms Aaron Khan facing Gorilla Gym’s Connor Mclean.

No Takeover Promotions show is complete without us showing off the amount of talented boxers that we have in the gym, something that often goes unnoticed due to us being mainly a kickboxing club, so it always always nice to showcase that talent that we do have on these events with Alfie Conner, Rose Price, Finn Cross, Liam Conlon-Bell, Igor Lewondowski, Dimitry Jasvin, Ojars Eksteins and Omer Veronnel facing fighters from Warriors Fitness Centre and Inspire Boxing Club in what are all 50/50 match ups.

Doors for the event open at 4:00pm with the first bout set for 5:00pm. Tickets are priced at £30 for adults and £20 for under 16’s or a VIP table of 10 is £500.
