Kids Beginners Kickboxing Course
Children’s Beginners Kickboxing Course – Lincoln Fight Factory
Course Dates: Monday 20 October – Saturday 20 December 2025
As the new school year begins and children settle back into lessons after an active summer, many parents look for ways to keep them engaged, healthy and confident. Lincoln Fight Factory is pleased to announce its latest Children’s Beginners Kickboxing Course, created for ages 4 to 13. This structured and enjoyable programme introduces young people to the fundamentals of kickboxing while supporting their physical fitness and personal growth.
Running from Monday 20 October to Saturday 20 December 2025, this ten-week course provides regular, progressive training. Sessions take place three times each week — Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays — offering children plenty of opportunity to learn, practise and improve.
Introducing K1 Rules Kickboxing
The course is based on K1 Rules Kickboxing, a modern and accessible style that teaches safe striking using punches, kicks and knee techniques. K1 is ideal for beginners as it is straightforward and practical without unnecessary complexity. Children learn movements they can understand and build on with confidence, while safety and gradual development remain the top priorities.
Unlike some martial arts with long, formal routines or intricate grading systems, K1 keeps training focused and easy to follow. This approach suits children who are completely new to martial arts as well as those with some previous experience. The emphasis is on consistent progress and enjoyment in every class.
Why Kickboxing is Valuable for Children
In a world filled with screens and sedentary activities, many parents want their children to be more physically active. Kickboxing provides an exciting and purposeful alternative, giving children a way to stay healthy while developing important life skills.
Physical Health and Coordination
Kickboxing delivers a full-body workout that strengthens muscles, improves flexibility and enhances balance. It also helps children develop quicker reflexes and sharper motor skills — benefits that can extend to other sports and daily activities.
By attending regular sessions across ten weeks, children can build a routine that supports long-term fitness rather than short bursts of activity. Each class is varied and dynamic, keeping participants motivated and engaged.
Focus and Self-Discipline
Beyond fitness, kickboxing encourages concentration and commitment. Children learn combinations and defensive techniques that require attention and patience. This mental training can positively influence academic work, helping with problem solving and focus in the classroom.
Attending structured classes teaches the value of consistent effort. Over time, children become more aware of how practice leads to improvement — an important lesson for both sport and life.
Self-Defence and Confidence
Kickboxing gives children practical self-protection skills, helping them feel safer and more prepared to handle challenges. Yet the greatest benefit is often the increase in confidence that comes from learning something new and progressing step by step.
Many parents notice positive changes in attitude as children grow more comfortable with themselves and less fearful of making mistakes. This confidence can make starting a new school year easier and help with making friends or trying new activities.
Social Interaction and Teamwork
Each class brings children together in a supportive group environment. Training alongside others their own age encourages teamwork and friendship. The shared experience of learning new skills and achieving goals creates a sense of belonging and helps young people develop social confidence.
