Frank Bruno

3 VIP Tables left for The Takeover – Book your night with the legendary Frank Bruno now!

The Feud Promotions team now only have 3 VIP tables left for the evening where we will be bringing former Heavyweight World Champion Frank Bruno, English rap artist Tinchy Stryder and a night of world class kickboxing to Lincoln on 24 March 2018 – this is an event you do not want to miss in what is Lincoln’s biggest ever fight night event at Deans Sport & Leisure.

Former Kickboxing Classics Promoter Shawn Burton and Byland Landscaping MD Alex Byland have spoken for the last few years about how they could take kickboxing events to the next level.  The Kickboxing Classics fight nights have always seen some of the very best match making in the UK that made it one of the longest running, most established events on the circuit, but that is where it stopped – a good night of fights and cheap beer.

Feud Promotions event have that and much, much more.  The plan is to make it an evenings entertainment that everybody wants to attend, a must do date in the diary that will showcase the very best K1 rules fights in the country combined with  full nights entertainment to go with it in the form of legendary guest speakers, dancers, musicians and much more.

Who is Frank Bruno?

Frank Bruno MBE remains one of the nations favourite sporting personalities due to his loveable charm and infectious enthusiasm for sport. A former World Heavyweight Champion, Frank knows exactly what it takes to achieve peak performance in order to become the very best in your field. As a boxing speaker, Frank delivers anecdotal tales of life in the ring as well as the drive and determination needed to realise his ambitions and become champion of the world.

Turning professional aged 21, Bruno made a name for himself due to his early fights being won by knockout, making him one of the most explosive and exciting boxers to watch of the era. Bruno challenged for the World title on three occasions, against Tim Witherspoon, Mike Tyson and Oliver McCall. With both Tyson and Witherspoon too strong of an opponent at the time, Bruno eventually won the title after a grueling twelve round test of stamina against McCall, where Frank was named the victor on a points basis. The drive and determination to overcome the adversity of such a tireless training regime and effort needed to sustain his form during a twelve round heavyweight bout make this event ideal way to listen to a legend give advice on creating the right mindset and attitude in whatever you do.

After losing to Tyson once more in Glasgow in 1996, Bruno duly retired and left a legacy of great boxing achievements, including an impressive record of 40 victories from 45 fights. Considering that 38 of the 40 victories Bruno achieved were knockouts, his formidable natural ability and skill are clearly evident.

This exclusive event will be hosted at the outstanding Deans Sports and Leisure in the heart of historic Lincoln City centre.  FEUD promotions have pulled out all the stops to throw the ultimate 5* party ! The show features some of the countries very best fighters in action, with a fantastic -66kg 4 man K1 tournament with the winner walking away with a £1,000 cash prize that has some serious talent in the event.

First to sign up for the 4 man event was Sunderland’s Ryan Foster who fans may remember he was a beaten finalist in our last 4 man tournment.  Ryan is the IKF English champion and will be looking to take the Feud belt and cash prize back to the Armageddon Spartan gym.

A dark horse for the event could be Gainsborough’s Dan Gibbon, an established MMA fighter and head coach of the Gorilla Fight Team.  Dan has great stand up skills and will course anybody in the tournament serious problems.

The third entrant is the well travelled and much respected Pabz Benn from KO Gym in London.  Pabz has fought on one of our previous shows where he fought of the ISKA World Full Contact title, but a cut to his opponent led to a no contest.  Pabz is very flash and will be confident of taking the money back down south.

The final man in the tournament is Ireland’s David Wogan Jr.  We know very little about David, but he comes highly recommend from our contacts in Ireland and certainly wont be coming for a holiday, he will be coming for the prize.

A world class fight between Ireland’s ISKA Irish champion Eamon Deane and ISKA English Champion Ash Griffiths is certainly a fight that will get the fans off their seats as the battle it out over 3×3 minute rounds under Pro K1 rules at 75kg.

Former ISKA Midland Champion Ryan Vickers will be making his debut for the Lincoln Fight Factory when he meets IKF, WKA and ICO champion Gareth Evans from Falcon Gym, Romford for the ISKA British title at 69kg under Full Contact Rules.

Unbeaten K1 fighter and x2 British Champion Lukas Nanartavicius fighting for the European K1 title against Irish Champion Jake Coffey.  Lukas has a fight anyone attitude and told us to find him the very best opponent and Jake certainly seems to meet the criteria.

European Champion Keegan Roberts has been on great form of late, beating everybody we put in front of him.  After defending his European title it was time we moved him up another level and a chance to fight the very best,  The ISKA came back with the name Sid Phillips from Semtex Gym.  Sid is ranked #1 in 2 weigh divisions for his age and it looks like a cracker when these two teens fight for the K1 World Title.

Kraig Green rematching Ireland’s Morgan McEnroe for the K1 5 Nations Title.  These 2 lads battled out to a hard fought draw on our November show, both teams believed their guy one, so this rematch makes perfect sense and if it is half as exciting as the previous bout, fans are in for a real treat.

Teenage sensations Brogan Wilson (Combat Academy) vs Alex Hook (Assassins Gym) will meet for the ISKA British Title under K1 rules at 67kg.  These lads are truly at world level, but to get the fight on agreed to meet for the British title just to get on the card – this could be fight of the night so you wont want to go to the bar and miss this one (another reason to get a VIP table and have waitress service).

Lincoln Fight Factory’s KO king Phil Robbins will be looking to keep his undefeated K1 record in tact when he meets fellow Lincoln man Don Barnard from Function First.  This is a very interested match as Phil has serious KO power in this legs, winning all of his fights be first round stoppage and Dom is as tough and as awkward as they come.  Not only will the be fighting for local pride but we also have the ISKA  Midlands Title up for grabs.

The packed card will also see Taylor Sellars finally make his debut for the gym when he meets ISKA English champion Stiven Tomashevic from the Musashi Gym in Peterborough, Lewis Etoria takes on Stiven’s brother Edgar in a great fight between 2 novices, heavyweight boxing is back when Jason Barnes looks to get back to winning ways when he fights unbeaten Jody Hancock from Combat Academy, Barnsely and DJ Tollerton is back in action in a boxing bout against London’s Renko Chalakov in another tidy fight between to novices at 60kgs.

The final 2 fights that are seriously worth a mention are between Tommy Crossland from Combat Academy who will be making his professional debut.  Tommy has a host of amateur titles to his name and really pushed our own Petar Stoikov in the 4 man tournament we held last year.  Tommy has since gone from strength to strength and will meet Ireland’s Eric McCormack over 3×3 minute rounds at 70kgs.

Another exciting fight fight on the card is a European title bout between Tommy’s team mate Seth Housley, who has fought in Lincoln multiple times, always impressing the crowd.  This time the ICO British Champion will have his toughest test to date when he meets Ireland’s Liam Hand.  We have seen a few videos of Liam and he looks the real deal.  As a team we are delighted to have matched this fight up.

Doors for the for the VIP tickets at 4:30pm when you will be taken straight to your table ready for the Q&A with Frank Bruno at 5pm – we still have 30 tickets left (from 500) so don’t delay if you want one – they are priced at £500 for a table of 10, but can be bought singular.

Doors open at 5:30pm for standard tickets when you will be taken to a private bar and allowed into the arena ready for the first bout set for 6:30pm. Tickets are priced at £30 for adults, £20 for under 16’s.
