Robbins vs Barnard for K1 Midlands title on VIP show at The Takeover

The sold out VIP evening show at The Takeover at Deans Sports and Leisure Centre at Lincoln College has some of the biggest names in the UK K1 scene on the card, so now is the time for us to talk about those fights to wet the appetites of those who were lucky enough to secure a ticket for the event.

Not only will guests have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the legendary boxer Frank Bruno and see UK rapper Tinchy Stryder performing a set, they will also get to witness some of the UK’s very best K1 fighters in action and we have managed to secure another attractive looking title fight between to Lincoln fighters who will be fighting for local bragging rights and the ISKA Midland belt.

Lincoln Fight Factory fight Phil Robbins has hit the K1 circuit by storm winning both of his fights by first round stoppage with fantastic lead leg roundhouse kicks and has pushed to fight on every show going to get his name out there.

Phil’s background lies in boxing, but a move to the Lincoln Fight Factory saw more of his training turning towards the K1 format and it’s a fighting style that seems to have suited him very well.

The Feud Promotions team are certainly taking a step up in class for Phil when he meets Function First standout fighter Dom Barnard who is no stranger to shows at the Lincoln Fight Factory.

Barnard is the current Contender Promotions champion, has a very awkward but highly effective style and using great footwork to close gaps and throw his shots from strange angles and will certainly be entering the ring expecting to leave with the ISKA Midland title.

Dom  is as tough as they come and we will certainly need to be if he is to become the first man to stand up to Phil’s left leg (which has been quoted as being so sharp it could peel an orange) and break his heart, ending his title ambitions.

On paper these are too very evenly matched fighters and the added spice of not only being a title fight, but with local pride chucked in the mix to and with Phil selling over 80 tickets, you can imagine the atmosphere during this fight is going to be electric.

As stated before to VIP show is now sold out but don’t worry, tickets are still available for our under card and can be purchased from the Lincoln Fight Factory or by clicking this link.
