Housley vs Hand

Housley vs Hand for European title on VIP show at The Takeover

The sold out VIP evening show at The Takeover at Deans Sports and Leisure Centre at Lincoln College has some of the biggest names in the UK K1 scene on the card, so now is the time for us to talk about those fights to wet the appetites of those who were lucky enough to secure a ticket for the event.

Not only will guests have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with the legendary boxer Frank Bruno and see UK rapper Tinchy Stryder performing a set, they will also get to witness some of the UK’s very best K1 fighters in action and this cadet fight for the ISKA European Title is certainly something we as a promotional company are thrilled to be hosting.

Another fight on the main card is a very exciting European title bout between Seth Housley, who has fought in Lincoln multiple times, always impressing the crowd.  This time the ICO British Champion will have his toughest test to date when he meets Ireland’s Liam Hand.  We have seen a few videos of Liam and he looks the real deal.  As a team we are delighted to have matched this fight up.

Housley, trained by Mick Crossland at the legendary Combat Academy in Barnsley, is another teenage sensation coming across the conveyor belt of talent being churned out in South Yorkshire.

Seth is the current ICO British K1 champion and has a host of other titles to his name in full contact and also won a gold medal at the ICO World Games in October 2017.

Seth is known for his unbelievable strength, perfect timing and fantastic ring craft, which has seen him become one of the hottest prospects on the scene.

We love having Seth fight in Lincoln and feel a crack at the European crown is nothing more than he deserves, so as soon as this show was announced we got straight on the phone to find a suitable opponent.  The name that kept popping up was Liam Hand, trained by Gabor Hortobagyi at Hori’s Muay Thai in Crumlin, Dublin.

Liam has a K1 record of 9 wins and 1 loss and is the current ISKA Irish champion and x3 Mayhem champion and if his training videos are anything to go by this is a serious 50/50 match up.

Liam, like Seth looks extremely strong and throws his shots to hurt from the first bell and has a great work engine and a style that is well suited to the K1 fighting format.

This, again, is a contender for fight of the night and the winner of this fight can truly claim to be one of the best -52kg fighters in the world at 15 years old so good luck to both camps and thank you for working with us on this massive show.

As stated before to VIP show is now sold out but don’t worry, tickets are still available for our under card and can be purchased from the Lincoln Fight Factory or by clicking this link.
