Fight Team in Kent – 26 February 2012

We are into the last week of the big event in Rochester, Kent ahead of Shawn Boom Boom Burton’s IKF British Title challenge against Steven Pocket Rocket Cook at 64.5kg.

Reports in the camp are that Shawn is in the shape of his life, although most fighters say this in the build up to a fight, I think anybody who has seen Shawn in recent training would find it difficult to argue any other case.

Shawn looked in blistering form during his 12 round pad session last night and is already on his weight, which is good as he often has to lose 5-6kgs in the final week of a fight.  Being on weight will mean Shawn doesn’t have to dehydrate himself and will be feeling nice and fresh in the last few days of training.

There are still 2 places left on the coach travelling to Kent if anybody is interested, tickets are £20 for the coach and £25 for the show.

Also on the show representing Lincoln KBA are undefeated prospects Michael Rudd (2-0), Gareth Eades (2-0), Tom Scutt (3-0) and Dan Travis who is coming off an impressive 2nd round stoppage earlier this month.
