Ryan Morgan’s Funeral

The service will be held at 10am on Friday, February 28 at St. John’s Church in Washingborough.

Lincoln kickboxer Ryan Morgan’s body was found on 8 February and since then the whole community has got together to share fond memories that they shared with Ryan over the years and now his family are publicly inviting friends and loved ones to a funeral commemoration.

In a statement issued to The Lincolnite, Ryan’s sister Leonie Morgan said:

“To all of Ryan’s many friends, we will be holding a service for Ryan at 10am on Friday February 28 at St. John’s Church, Washingborough.

“The family would like to invite everybody to have this opportunity to pay their respects and help us to celebrate Ryan’s life.”

Lincoln Fight Factory owner and former training partner, friend and in later years coach, Shawn Burton has called upon those who trained with Ryan either at Chikara Martial Arts or the Lincoln Fight Factory to come and celebrate the life of a great man.

“It will be a very hard day for the Morgan family, but I am sure they will gain strength from the support and love shown towards Ryan in what is a very difficult time.”

“Training with Ryan since the age of 13 brought me a great friendship and enabled me to meet a great person and I know he touched the lives of many others, hopefully everybody that knew him will turn out in force to say their final farewells,” said Burton.
