Team arrive in Argentina

DAY ONE

Well it was an experience to say the least, but the Lincoln Fight Factory team have finally, safely arrived in La Rioja, Argentina ahead of Shawn Burton’s and Tom Scutt’s world title fights.

After a 1 hour flight from Heathrow airport and over night hotel stop in Amsterdam, the team had a 14 hour flight to Buenos Aires (the capital of Argentina) and taken to a local boxing gym for a stretch and some pad work with coach Adam Butler.

It was then a 40 minute drive to the bus depot and onto a Executive Coach to Cordoba, luckily the team managed to sleep the majority of the 8 hour trip.  A quick coffee in Cordoba and then 5 more hours in a truck to the hotel in La Rioja.

The 5 star hotel has everything the team need (apart from a working treadmill) and is a great place to relax.  After unpacking their bags the team were treated to dinner by the Organistations Head – Jose Luis Market’m, rested for a couple of hours before being taken to the venue for another workout on the pads – Shawn and Tom were watched by a large crowd and even had requests for photos with fans.

In the evening Steve, Adam and Tom went for tea with the Jose and some other key figures in kickboxing whilst Shawn rested in the hotel (he was asleep after 4 minutes),

The rest of the team our now fast asleep whilst Shawn is pushing out press ups and wanting to go for a run (6:45 am in la Rioja).
