Takeover Promotions heads to Sleaford and big Lincoln Fight Factory team are in action

Over the last few years the Takeover Promotions brand has been largely recognised as one of, if not the, leading small hall K1 fight night events in the UK and on Saturday 16 November one of the promotions most decorated fighters, Phil Robbins is bringing it to his hometown of Sleaford.

Takeover Promotions owner Shawn Burton has for the last 15 years been the only K1 kickboxing promoter in Lincoln, bringing the city some fantastic nights of fighting in a competitive but extremely safe and family friendly environment.  His events have seen various boxing celebrities, professional footballers and even rappers perform live to an always capacity crowd, as well as helping bring to Lincoln titles right up to world championship level.

Always wanting to add feathers to his cap, Burton has been looking at working with other promoters to work under the Takeover Promotions brand in other cities and took his first event to Corby in May, alongside Danger Zone and Musashi Gym owner Alex Bolshunov was a huge success and expects Sleaford to be no different.

A working relationship that started between Shawn and Phil around 8 years ago when Robbins started fighting on the Lincoln events and it wasn’t long before the relationship went further into a fighter/coach type which turned out to be a very successful pairing with Phil fighting all the way up to professional international level.

Shawn had a very successful show in Lincoln in September and Phil’s show is already almost sold out and the show features a sold card of Sleaford and Lincoln fighters all looking to bring their fans something very special.

Talking of matches, Shawn has managed to negotiate some truely mouthwatering fights, including a title fight between two unbeaten boxers when Lincoln Fight Factory’s Jordan Stokes looks to build on his 6 fight unbeaten record when he takes on the very popular and very heavy handed Wed Greenwood from Sleaford.

This show has some great Lincoln Fight Factory vs Sleaford bouts which should really bring some noise and a and memories of the days when Sleaford’s Impact Gym and the Lincoln Fight Factory used to trade blows.

The Lincoln/Sleaford fights include Igor Lewondowski vs Harry Stuart, Ed Jarvis vs Jack Peckett, Maris Ivanovs vs KC Kemp and the Stokes vs Greenwood fight.

Other Fight Factory fighters on the card include Stanislavs Daleckis and Petr Hellsinger, with a few more hopefully added over the next few days.

This is a stacked card with some great local talent and Phil really is bringing something very special to Sleaford, so if your free on 16 Novemeber, this really is the place to be.
