Ring Wars – 26 November at the Lincoln Fight Factory
We are now just 8 days away from the final Ring Wars event of 2022 and we have a great night of action featuring your favourite Lincoln Fight Factory fighters as well as some of the best from around Europe coming to Lincoln well schooled, well drilled and ready to entertain a sell out crowd.
What a card we have made for this event. The promoters of Ring Wars have pulled out all of the stops to piece together what they believe is one of the strongest ‘small hall’ event in the UK in recent years. 26 November there really is no other place in Lincoln that you will want to be at, whether you are a fan of K1 rules kickboxing, boxing or just enjoy a good nights entertainment. Save this date in your diary now!
Priding his shows on very even 50/50 bouts, promoter Shawn Burton has once again pulled out all of the stops to ensure that this event tops any of the previous shows he has put on with some top quality boxing bouts on the event and a K1 rules fight card to end the night featuring fighters from across the UK taking in Professional, Semi-Professional and amateur K1 rules bouts as well as a handful and top quality boxing bouts featuring some of the Lincoln Fight Factory’s top talent and we are delighted to be bringing it to Lincoln at the George Street based venue.
As always, we start the event with a number of novice fights and work our way up the some truly World Class professional bouts that could headline any event at any venue in the UK, so to have that on a Ring Wars event shows that the team are doing something right to tie them down to our shows.
The Main Event of the evening is a mouthwatering bout between two fighters that have fought on some of the top UK shows, but both jumped at the chance to feature on the show. This is a fight that really could be on any of the biggest stages around the UK, featuring two truly top class operators in a Professional K1 kickboxing bout for the ISKA British title. However, promoter Shawn Burton had his heart set on making this happen when both of the fighters managers put their names forward and after a couple of phone calls/messages it was confirmed and what a fight it is – Jacob Wells from the Pride Combat Athletics in Bracknell makes his first defence of his title when he takes on Ring Wars regular Aaron Slimane from Sweatbox Gym in Leeds. Aaron has featured on two previous events we have held, winning both by TKO and is now aiming to collect his first major title in the professional ranks. Jacob is a well schooled, highly experienced operator from one of the UK’s leading gyms and will not want to give his title away easily. This was probably one of the easiest fights we have ever made so thank you to both teams for making this happen.
The chief support on the night is two fighters making their professional K1 debuts and what a fight it is. Piotr Panczak trains out of Inner Force Martial Arts based at the Lincoln Fight Factory. A tough, well drilled front foot fighter learnt his trade at another gym in Lincoln but moved to Inner Force last year and is looking to hit the ground running after a couple of set backs with fights falling through for various reasons at the back end of 2021 and early 2022 since he won the ISKA Semi-Pro English title last summer. He will be fighting a very familiar name to the Ring Wars event in Lewis Urquhart from Scotland. This baby faced, Marvel Hero looking fighter wowed fans in March with a superb performance to take the ISKA Amateur British title. We have been asked many times by fans to get him back and now finally we are able to – you do not want to miss this fight.
We have 3 fighters fighting for ISKA 5 Nations Titles against very tough Irish opposition on the under card. Keegan Roberts is well and truly back on form after a long lay off, coming off a career best performance against a very well renowned opponent in August and now looks to collect his fighter title at senior level when he meets Ireland’s Edmilson Manuel for the -57kg Semi-Pro title.
Joe Peter-Lee meets the more experienced Ryan Vaughan for the -60kg cadet title. Joe has been one of the standout performers of 2022 for the Lincoln Fight Factory and will be looking to not only keep his undefeated record but also add to his ISKA English title on Saturday night a push one step closer to winning a European title before the end of 2023. Joe is a real crowd pleaser and puts on a great show every time he steps into the ring, we expect another less next Saturday night.
Jamie Stinton is the last of the three hoping to bring a 5 Nations title back to the Lincoln Fight Factory when he meets the very talent Eion Forde from Kilkenny Combat Academy trained by the legendary Owen Doyle. Jamie hasn’t though since March due to several injuries and fights falling through but intends to make a statement on Saturday. We have seen Jamie making massive improvements these last few weeks in his final bit of training camp and expect him to put all his hard training into action on the 26th for the Ring Wars fans.
Renars Vecmanis looks to keep his unbeaten record and take his first title when he meets Owyn Eager from Inspire Gym in Derby for the Ring Wars title under boxing rules. Renars is a very talented, hard hitting fighter who leaves it all in the ring and next weekend we anticipate another punch perfect display from our Latvian superstar.
Other unbeaten fighters fighting for Lincoln Fight Factory on the night are Alan Gargulio, David Janikowski, Barclay Stafford, Aston Barres-Smith, Tom Johnson, Gareth Wright, Aaron Davies and Liam Lewis will all step in to the ring and put all of their hard training and commitment over the last 4 months into action and hope to leave with their hands raised and heads held high.
A full undercard of amateur and Semi-Pro K1 will make this a night to remember and firmly put a stamp on the Ring Wars events as being a must do date for any fighter or fan.
Doors for the event open at 4:00pm with the first bout set for 5:00pm. Tickets are priced at £30 for adults and £20 for under 16’s or a VIP table of 10 is £500.
