Back on Track – Youths at Risk Project is over – Thank you to everyone who has been involved
The Lincoln Kickboxing Academy (LKA) is proud to announce the successful completion of our “Back on Track – Youths at Risk Project” at the Lincoln Fight Factory. What an incredible two-year journey it has been.
Since launching this initiative in partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund, we have had the privilege of supporting and working with 1,982 young people. We are confident that this project has made a lasting difference in their lives—helping them build confidence, develop new skills and move forward on more positive paths.
Over the course of the project, we created a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where young people aged 11–18 could engage in structured kickboxing sessions, receive mentorship and access academic support. Through these activities, participants were encouraged to channel their energy positively, form meaningful relationships, and set goals for their futures.
We have witnessed first-hand the growth, resilience and determination of the young people who attended. Many stepped into leadership roles, supported their peers and began to see new possibilities for themselves beyond the challenges they faced.
As this chapter comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible. To all of our dedicated staff and volunteers—your commitment, time and passion have been invaluable. To every young person who walked through our doors—thank you for your trust, effort and willingness to be part of something positive.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to The National Lottery Community Fund for their incredible support throughout the project. Their funding and belief in our vision allowed us to deliver a programme that has truly changed lives.
While the project has now come to an end, the impact it has created will continue to be felt for years to come. We are immensely proud of what has been achieved and grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.
