Against the Odds II is this Saturday

The next night of White Collar Boxing at the Lincoln Fight Factory is just 3 days away when on 16 July a group of 50 individuals lace up their gloves and step through the ropes to raise money for charity – this time our chosen charity is the Nomad Trust, a charity that provides welfare services in the City of Lincoln for those who are homeless.

We have first timers and experienced fighters all doing their bit in the ring for a great cause and we want you to support these fighters (male and female) when they step into the ring to get punched (and in some cases kicked ) in the face.  For tickets all you need to do is call Shawn Burton on 07900932690 or Gavin Chapman on 07738976290.

Over the last few years the Lincoln Fight Factory has raised over £100,000 for some great charities including Adis Mission, Lincs to Nepal, Cancer Research, Macmillan Cancer Foundation, Ethan Maull’s ‘Up Yours to Cancer’ Foundation, The Fire Fighters Charity, the Lincoln City FC Youth Academy and the Injured Jockies Fund, but this time we are promoting a show in conjunction with the Nomad Trust and unlike many other ‘charity shows’ 100% of the profits will be donated to the Nomad Trust.

How does the day work?

The event will be split into two shows – an afternoon show of white collar boxing where genuine first timers and novices get a taste of what boxing really is, fighting over 3×2 minute rounds with headguards and 16oz gloves (unless agreed otherwise) and an evening show featuring some of Lincolnshire’s top fighters facing a top team from Norway coached by the legendary Trevor Ambrose, who will be bringing a team of well skilled, well prepared and very dangerous team from Bergen to fight under boxing and kickboxing bouts.  It truly is not a day to be missed.

The charity show will be headlined by a fantastic main event featuring the very unorthodox Tom ‘Mad Dog’ Martin fighting out of the Lincoln Fight Factory and the flashy KC Kemp from Sleaford trained by former professional boxer Amir Unsworth in a bout that will really keep the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Also on the charity show will be Jaime Elliot, Caroline Glanville, Joshua Jackson, Michael Onn, James Wilson, Brandon Sandy, Garry Langridge, Mantas Nanartavicius, Graham Rainey, Marius Smilginas, Artus Beinaroviews, Jake Holloway, Philip Mexted and Ben Lewis.

The evening show really does have some mouthwatering fights that would not look out of place on any big event we have help over the years at the gym with some great domestic clashes between Callum Thompson and Leeds Mikey Ash, a battle of Lincoln see’s Aaron Starbuck vs Damian White, Lee Hellawell fights Leeds man Jack Galley and Kez Adams vs Dean Ash also from Leeds.

Leading the charge in the international fights pairs Romanian ranked number 3 Doru Zelea and Norweigan star Adam Mekdad, Polish hard hitter Roman Sikorski laces up the gloves after a long lay off when he fights Roy Breivik, Ben Jackson fighting Alexander Gudsbransen in a full contact rules match and Romanian Omer Veronel vs Jonathan Fernandez.

Also on this card is Jason Glanville, Danny Goulding, Ozzy Robinson and Esme Hall fighting selected fighters from the Norway Camp.

Tickets are priced at £25 and one tickets covers both shows, with a bbq during the break for the 2 shows for those that don’t wish to go home between.  Doors open at 1pm and the first bout is at 2pm for the charity show and the first bell for the evening show will ring at 7pm.
