Rat Boy wins WKA English Title

The Lincoln Fight Factory team, after a quiet summer, were back on the road again when Lukas ‘Rat Boy’ Nanartavicius met Middlesborough’s unbeaten Stevie Weldrake for the WKA English Low Kick title in Boston.

These young stars have become two of the most formidable K1 rules fighters on the circuit and both desperate to fight each other to see who is the best.

Originally the fight was due to be for the Northern Area K1 title, but a last minute change of rules and title due to equipment problems meant that knees were no longer allowed to the body, something that is one of Lukas’ main attributes, but as always Rat Boy wasn’t phased and couldn’t wait to get in the ring with one of his main rivals.

The bout over 5×1.5 minute rounds was a great clash of styles between the incredible strength and toughness of Lukas and the silky skills of Stevie.  It was an absolute pleasure to watch as two of the best young fighters in the UK fought their hearts to not only claim the WKA English title, but also in many peoples eyes the UK’s Number 1 spot.

After 5 grueling rounds it was the Lincoln Fight Factory fighter who remained unbeaten in low kick kickboxing, taking his record to 7-0, whilst Stevie suffered his first defeat in 10 fights.

Well done Lukas from everyone at the gym, you really are becoming a star and a credit to the club.

Luckily fight fans will get to see this all over again on our 11 November show – First Feud at the Lincoln Fight Factory when they battle it out for the ISKA British K1 rules title.  Tickets are priced at £25 if bought before the show starts and these two will be headlining the junior card which starts a 2pm.
