More title success for the Lincoln Fight Factory

There was more title success for the Lincoln Fight Factory this weekend, when a team of 9 fighters traveled over to Alex Boshunov’s Danger Zone event in Corby on Sunday night.

We took 4 juniors to take part in K1 fights the get the event started with Ruslan Gerisimovic lost in a close fight against Southampton’s Archie Frost fighting out of the Lookbari Gym and Joe Whitlam lost to hometown fighter Andrew Ilgius, a fight that the team believed they did more than enough to win.

Better results followed when Lukas Venskus got back to winning ways againt Kajus Simkevicius and Kimmy Fell’s remained undefeated and continued his push towards a title challenge when he beat Dominkas Ambrizas from Mushashi Gym on points.

Ed Jarvis put on a career best performance out boxing the more experienced Kenny Nettleton from Full Impact to take a pionts victory and Seb Sroka put in a solid perfomance stopping tough Welsh fighter Joe Williamson under K1 rules in the third round.

Another close fight saw Stanislavs Daleckis lose in a very good fight against European Boxing Centre’s Aurimas Dauksa in a great match up between to very heavy handed boxers.

The final fight for the team saw Konrad Kozlowski make his debut for the gym when he took on former Lithuanian amatuer super star Dainius Jokimaitis, fighting out of the Kevin Sanders Gym in Peterborough.  We have seen Dainius in action before when he beat Phil Robbins for the EBC British title in February and we knew this would be a fantastic fight for Konrad.

Konrad put in a dominant performance with a mix of heavy hands, illusive foot work and great ringcraft to out point and out power his opponent for the full 5 rounds to snatch the title away from Dainius and score a unanimous points victory and become the new EBC British Champion at 75kg.

Sadly, John Chapman’s opponent failed to show up on the night and he was left without an opponent.

Well done to all the of team that fought, thank you to the cornermen that gave up their Sunday to help out and to everybody that came to show their support and thanks to Alex for inviting us to take part in another great Danger Zone event.
