We have now completed the first week of our Beginners Boxing Course’s at the Lincoln Fight Factory and has turned out to be more successful than anyone could have imagined with 58 boxing enthusiasts signing up to start or continue their own boxing journey’s in our Level 1 and Level 2 sessions.
The 10 week course consists of 3 sessions a week and will be broken down into sections to cover all of the aspects needed to become a boxer, aspects that are often missed and ignored in standard classes and an optional Sunday morning sparring session.
The Level 1 course is designed to work on basic punches, footwork and defensive skills that a fighter needs when they first step into the ring. It is not designed to throw combinations on the pads that we all watch on the internet, we will be concentrating on the basic fundamental punches working straights and hooks.
The first session looked at working jabs and crosses and basic footwork to move in straight lines and having feet in the correct positions and lesson two saw the students working three punch combinations on the pads.
The Level 2 group ironed out some of the basic footwork drills with Lee Swaby on Wednesday and on Friday worked on some more complex combinations on he pads.
There is still some places left to book on to the Level 1 course for anybody that is interested in learning a new hobby, just drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, call 07900932690 or message our Facebook page at the Lincoln Fight Factory.
Congratulations for completing your first week of technical sessions and we hope to see as many ass possible on Wednesday night – and starting Sunday we have the 9am sparring sessions back for those that fancy fighting on the next Beginners show show on 11 March.
