First week of Beginners Boxing Course over at the Lincoln Fight Factory
We have now completed the first week of our Beginners Boxing Course’s at the Lincoln Fight Factory and has turned out to be more successful than anyone could have imagined with 48 boxing enthusiasts signing up to start or continue their own boxing journey’s in our technical and sparring courses.
The 10 week course consists of up to 4 sessions a week and will be broken down into sections to cover all of the aspects needed to become a boxer, aspects that are often missed and ignored in standard classes looking at basic punches, footwork, sparring drills and much, much more.
The techincal course is designed to work on basic punches, footwork and defensive skills that a fighter needs when they first step into the ring. It is not designed to throw combinations on the pads that we all watch on the internet, we will be concentrating on the basic fundamental punches working straights, hooks, uppercuts and bodyshots.
The first session looked at working jabs and crosses and basic footwork to move in straight lines and having feet in the correct positions and lesson two saw the students working three punch combinations on the pads.
The sparring course concentrated on throwing and defending against jabs and working on lead hand hooks on th Wednesday, with a more open mat feel to the Friday session, where students were encouraged to try out the combinations and footwork drills they work on the pads throughout the week.
There is still some places left to book on to the each course for anybody that is interested in learning a new hobby, just drop us an email to info@lincolnkba.co.uk, call 07900932690 or message our Facebook page at the Lincoln Fight Factory.
Congratulations for completing your first week of technical sessions and we hope to see as many as possible on Wednesday night as we really start to take up the work in week 2.
