First week of Beginners Boxing Course almost over
We have now completed the first week of our Beginners Boxing Course at the Lincoln Fight Factory and has turned out to be more successful than anyone could have imagined with 52 boxing enthusiasts signing up to start there own boxing journey.
The 10 week course consists of 3 sessions a week and will be broken down into sections to cover all of the aspects needed to become a boxer, aspects that are often missed and ignored in standard classes and will now for the first time ever include a Sunday morning sparring session.
The course is designed to work on basic punches, footwork and defensive skills that a fighter needs when they first step into the ring. It is not designed to through combinations on the pads that we all watch on the internet, we will be concentrating on the basic fundamental punches working straights and hooks.
The first session looked at working jabs and crosses and basic footwork to move in straight lines and having feet in the correct positions and lesson two saw the students working three punch combinations on the pads.
This is by far the busiest the gym has ever been throughout all the classes and the buzz at the gym at the minute is sky high and it really is a good place to be at the minute
Congratulations for completing your first week of technical sessions and we hope to see as many ass possible at the 9am sparring session – especially those that have shown an interest in fighting on the charity show on 3rd December.
