FINISH THE SUMMER READY FOR A NEW CHALLENGE – BEGINNERS BOXING COURSE 2026
As the summer holidays begin to come to an end many people start thinking about getting back into a routine. The long summer evenings are getting shorter, schools are preparing to return and September provides the perfect opportunity to start something new.
If you have spent the summer telling yourself that you want to get fitter, learn a new skill or finally give boxing a try then now is the time to do something about it.
Lincoln Fight Factory is pleased to announce the next Beginners Boxing Course starting on Wednesday 2 September 2026 and running through to Friday 13 November 2026.
Designed for complete beginners, people returning to boxing and those who already train but want to improve their fundamentals this structured course gives you the opportunity to develop genuine boxing skills in a professional training environment.
A NEW ROUTINE AFTER THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
September is often a time when routines return after the disruption of the summer holidays.
Rather than simply going back to the same routine why not add something new?
Boxing provides a challenging and enjoyable way to improve fitness while learning practical skills. You do not need previous experience and you do not need to already be fit before joining.
You simply need to be prepared to turn up, listen, learn and put the work in.
Our coaching team will take you through the fundamentals step by step so that you can develop at your own pace while being challenged as your ability improves.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The course has been designed to suit a wide range of people.
Complete beginners can learn boxing correctly from the start without feeling pressured or intimidated.
People who have trained previously can use the course to return to boxing after time away while rebuilding fitness, timing and technique.
More experienced boxers can also benefit from going back to the fundamentals and working on the details that are sometimes overlooked.
Whatever your starting level the emphasis throughout the course is on development, consistency and improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Boxing is much more than simply learning how to throw punches.
Throughout the course you will work on the technical foundations that allow everything else to develop.
Training will cover:
- Boxing stance and positioning
- Footwork and movement
- Correct punching technique
- Punch combinations
- Defensive movement
- Timing and reactions
- Coordination and balance
- Pad work
- Heavy bag training
- Distance control
- Ring awareness
- Boxing fitness and conditioning
Sessions will gradually progress throughout the course so you can build confidence in each area before moving on to more advanced techniques and combinations.
TECHNICAL BOXING SESSIONS
Wednesdays and Fridays
7:15 pm – 8:00 pm
The main technical sessions concentrate on developing boxing ability while improving overall fitness.
Coaching is structured so complete beginners can understand the fundamentals while returning and experienced boxers can concentrate on improving the finer details of their technique.
You will be expected to work hard but you will never be expected to know something that has not been taught.
OPTIONAL SPARRING DEVELOPMENT
Fridays
8:00 pm – 8:45 pm
For participants who want to take their boxing further we also offer an optional sparring development session following Friday’s technical class.
Sparring gives boxers an opportunity to apply the skills they have developed including movement, distance, defence, reactions and timing.
It is particularly useful for experienced boxers, former fighters returning to training and beginners who eventually want to experience controlled technical sparring.
All sparring is supervised with safety, control and technical development remaining the priority.
BUILD YOUR FITNESS WHILE LEARNING A SKILL
One of the biggest advantages of boxing is that fitness improves while you are concentrating on learning something.
Rather than spending an hour repeating the same exercises in a conventional gym you are constantly moving, thinking and developing.
Boxing training can help improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance, coordination, speed, balance and overall conditioning.
As the weeks progress you should begin to notice improvements not only in your boxing but also in your ability to train harder and recover more effectively.
CONFIDENCE AND DISCIPLINE
The benefits of boxing are not limited to physical fitness.
Learning new techniques and seeing yourself improve can provide a genuine sense of achievement.
Training consistently also requires discipline. You learn to keep turning up even when motivation is not at its highest.
For many people boxing becomes an important part of their weekly routine because there is always another skill to improve and another target to work towards.

TRAIN AT LINCOLN FIGHT FACTORY
The course takes place at Lincoln Fight Factory where you will train in an established combat sports gym alongside people with different levels of experience.
There is no expectation that you need to arrive looking or performing like a boxer.
That is what the training is for.
Our aim is to provide an environment where people can train seriously, learn properly and improve without unnecessary pressure or ego.
READY TO START?
The end of the summer holidays is a natural time to reset your routine and decide what you want to achieve during the final months of the year.
