Kickboxing Classics – Summer Brawl just 5 weeks away

We are now less than 5 weeks away from the Kickboxing Classics installment and as always the team have tried to top the previous show, so far we have always managed to do so, but after the fantastic Fight Fest event we promoted in March this one really does need to be something special.

This time the show is called Summer Brawl and that is just what promoter Shawn Burton wants to promote – a fantastic summers afternoon of high intensity fight action for the whole family to show how much talent there is in England with fighters travelling from Sunderland, Birmingham, Boston, Rotherham, Peterborough, Stoke, Leicester, Scunthorpe, Nottingham, Kent and Sleaford to fight on what is now one of England’s leading promotions and a must to date for all coaches diaries.

Priding his shows on very even 50/50 bouts Burton has once again pulled out all of the stops to ensure that this event tops any of the previous shows he has put on with some great title fights on the card and giving a lot of gyms a chance to take a belt home with them even if the fights do not involve a Lincoln Fight Factory fighter.  If two fighters are in form then there is a good chance that they will meet each other for a title at the George Street based gym.

The main event of the evening is a fight that has been on the cards for a long time, between two fighters who not only believe they are the best 67kg fighters in England, but the world, so what better promotion to put the doubts to bed than fighting for the ISKA World title on one of the countries top promotions.

The main event see’s multiple world champion Zach Evans from the Adrenaline Gym in Walsall take on the explosive Lewis Garside from Spartans Gym in Sunderland.  This is a huge fight that fight fans have wanted to see for years and it is an absolute honor to be promoting this fight on the Kickboxing Classics event.

Another great fight at 67kg see’s TKMA Boston EFK European Champion Craig Young meet Aerokick multiple British Champion Anthony Byrne for the ISKA British Title.  The is a great bout between to very technical kickboxers and a win here could really elevate both this lads into some massive fighters at the end of the year

The 3rd title of the evening is a great K1 fight between two very exciting fighters who will be battling it out for the 82kg Midland Title.  Spirit Dojo’s Ben Goddard wowed fans on the last show and the Nottingham man truly deserves the chance to win his first title.  Standing in his way is the more experienced Dean Pattinson from Gorilla Gym in Grimsby.  Dean has dreams of turning professional and coming off the back of a Gold Medal at the recent ISKA Championships in Greece his confidence is sky high – don’t go to the bar during this fight.

Lincoln’s undefeated Lukas Nanartavicius, the current ISKA K1 British champion looks to make it 7 wins from 7 fights when he faces Rotherham’s WKA English Champion Tristan Harlow for the 32kg Full Contact title and Lincoln Fight Factorys x3 British K1 Champion Keegan Roberts meet’s Harlow’s club mate Morgan Freeman for the 44kg British Full Contact title.

Lincoln Fight Factory’s  heavyweight star Gavin Champan is looking to get back to winning ways after suffering his first loss in 7 fights in March when he meet’s the experienced and extremely tough Kev Hall from Stoke.

The inform Kraig Green takes another step up in class when he gives away age and experience in his fight with Paul Wiffen’s prospect and former European title challenger Judd Button.  This is the Kent mans first K1 fight, but his fluid kicking style should make this a very exciting fight again the powerful Lincoln man.

Lee Hellawell is back in action after a lay off due to the birth of his second child when he meets Scunthorpe’s Dave Carter, Doru Zeala fights Boston’s heavy handed Dzintars Ciica and Anthony Bosch makes his return to the ring when he fights Sleaford’s Jon Machin.

Making his return to the ring after almost a 10 year absence is former Midland Champion and once the hottest prospect on the scene,Ryan Vickers making his debut for the gym.  Standing in the opposite corner is Spartan’s Jona Barnaby.  This will be a great contest over 4 rounds of kickboxing.

We have a few of the Beginners Kickboxing course making their debuts for the gym with Lewis Etori, Valentina Paradisi, Marius Smilginas, Ondre Roach, Augustus Sejonas, Michał Grzegorczyk all step into the ring for the first time and Phil Robbins returns to the ring in his first K1 rules bout.

Doors fo open at 4:30pm with the first bout set for 5:30pm.  Tickets are priced at £25 for adults, £15 for under 16’s and a VIP table of 10 is £350.

We would like to thank the event sponsors Byland Countryside Services Ltd, Majestics Personal Training, Print Master and S.A.R Joinery Contractors for their continued support, without their generosity shows of this calibre would never take place.
